Poured at the original Second Street location in Santa Fe, New Mexico in January of 2014.
A- beautiful finger and a half of creamy, frothy head... Head is persistent and chewy-looking... The liquid is a dark copper with red hues, cloudy and opaque.
S- Piney hops are strong, sweet malt, pungent.
T- Sweet and slightly spicy like a rye beer, some piney hops, same pungency as on the nose, sweet malt, vanilla and toffee notes... Really quite tasty and mellow and easy to drink...
M- slightly dry, sweet but not cloying, creamy mouthfeel, especially in the middle... Somewhat bitter and this lingers on the finish... Only a slight hint of alcohol...
O- A well-aged beer. This is complex, interesting and ultimately delicious. I really, really enjoyed it.
