This awesome IPA is heavy with grapefruit aroma and lots of citrus in general. It has 7 different hop varieties from the U.S., U.K., and Germany, a pale grain bill for a crisp, dry finish, and is dry hopped with glacier and centennial hops.

On tap at the brewpub in August 2009. Reviewed from notes. I did not enjoy this nearly as much as the original reviewer. Not sure if this was a different batch or just something else different that the brewery had done, though it was clearly labeled as the same beer.

Pours a moderate golden yellow color with a white head that receded very quickly and did not leave behind any lacing. The nose was very, very faint citrus notes with a bit of bread. The taste was similar, with not an ounce of perceivable bitterness. All that is there is some plain grain. Feel is light with no hops. Not really offensive, but not a good example of the style.

Off the tap on 12/23/08 this beer was a hazy, honey-gold color. The head was a finger of white bubbles that displayed good retention and excellent lacing. The aroma was a pungent bouquet of hoppy grapefruit, citrus rind and a root-like bitterness. The flavors started on the same citrus note, the grapefruit being dominant. As it warmed up notes of wood, some earthy malt and pale malt all appeared to offer balance. The finish was distinctly bitter. The mouthfeel was semi-creamy, the body medium/full and the carbonation moderate. Enjoyable!
