The forked tongue seen on swallowtail caterpillars is a defensive organ scientifically tered "osmeterium". This showy projection excretes terpenes to repel dangers.

While terpenes might scare off caterpillar predators, when added to a Hazy IPA they provide vibrant aromas and enhance flavor.

In the case of our Osmeterium, we are pushing earthy pineapple supported by Sabro and Idaho 7 hops.

Appearance: Mellow yellow murky hazy base, light off-white head leaves clear bubbles in its wake after a 3/4 can pour into a shaker pint. Sustained mild carbonation visible from the top. 3.0

Aroma: Smells like pollen and lemon, light in strength. Unique. 3.25

Taste: Reminds me of a Radler, with the mix of beer and lemonade. Citrus, Grapefruit and Country Time Lemonade the primary takeaway. I am enjoying the flavor more than what the aroma yielded. 3.5

Mouthfeel: Feels like a radler in terms of a perception of separation of beer and lemonade throughout the pour. Sustained light fizzy carbonation, watery light body. Sweet overall, don't fathom any bitterness or dryness. Lemonade radler finish. 3.25

Overall: This is a unique experience. Not sure if a fresher can, the delay my fault for having so many older new beers to review, would have yielded a different result. I am enjoying the flavor, and this is a nice and easy way to end the Summer and Weekend. Thank you Micah for giving me the chance to try Cocoon Brewery. 3.25
