Body was a murky reddish brown color, strangely opaque for a lager. I'm guessing this was stylistically more of an American Red Ale. It was mentioned that this was their hoppiest brew available at the time, and that they are presently conserving their hop supply.
Malty aroma with some spicy hop character. Flavor follows suit, mild hop bitterness, malty with hint of rye-like spice, likely from the hops used. Medium bodied, mild bitter aftertaste.
Easy drinking, I preferred this beer most out of the ones I tried.
