Under a short tan head that recedes to a fine quarter pipe is a very dark brown body achieved by a swirling blend of quite dark reddish-purple hues.
Like Gratitude, it says American but gives English post barreling. I can perceive the hoppy acids, which are a little like reduced citrus, but the barrel uplifts the malt to now deliver viscous caramels, Reisen, spiced date and chars in very respectable spades. The oak expresses well throughout though.
Still, the body isn't quite full, and the finish exhales a little warmth after a touch of stickiness, though is otherwise semi-dry.
