On tap at Serious Brewing Company in Howes Cave, NY.
This pours a decently dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like peppery and piney hops, and some light chocolatey malt character.
This has a pleasantly bitter hop character, but the malt character is kind of just forgettable – with a thin finish, a watery chocolate note, and a bit of roast. I like seeing a black IPA on the menu these days, but I also want them to be actually good, you know?
This is light bodied, slightly creamy, and reasonably drinkable.
This was uninspiring, and not worth talking that much about.
