Dark tan head that gives some lacing in the beginning but no remnants midway through the tasting. Deep brown but bright light does barely pass through the center of the glass.
Smell: Cocoa brownies, some mocha, and cinnamon notes.
Rich but with ample carbonation—this is not syrupy nor creamy. Nearly unsweetened chocolate with notable vanilla. There’s a flash of black patent (burnt) malt. Despite the 12% abv, I don’t experience any alcohol. This is too easy to drink quickly.
