Tall, dark and hoppy, this seasonal ale is a blend of light caramel, toffee and fruity hops from late addition Mosaic. With the days getting shorter this time of year, it makes it a little easier to reach for a Knockturn Ale.

Nitro cask pour into a standard shaker pint glass. Dark, dark brown with a creamy mocha brown foam cap of about a finger and a half. Roasted malts, pine and some citrus on the nose. Taste follows. Get some roasted coffee, roasted malts, pine and citrus. Was hoping for a little more chocolate notes but oh well. Still really tasty. Medium-full mouthfeel. Creamy and smooth from the cask pour. Never had a cask engine black IPA but digging this one. Kind of takes the hops and brings forth the malt. Plus, these cask pours are always served at the temperature that most draft pours should be served at.
