A strong stout with notes of brown sugar. Starts roasty and finishes with a slight warming effect. Cheers!

draft pour into a kind of tiny snifter. maybe 8oz. it’s like a weird ruby red light brownish color with a tiny layer of off-white foam. coffee peppery spice with some chocolate sweetness on the nose. it’s very sweet with some chocolate notes but it has a weird almost lactose sweetness to it but i don’t think there’s lactose in it. medium-full mouthfeel with some decent carbonation to the finish. not terrible. i like the nose with its rich coffee notes but overall hard to pass off as an imperial stout. more of an imperial sweet red ale.
