The first “ground to growler” recipe from Evergreen Farm. All hops, basil and sage, along with some Bloody Butcher corn in the grain bill, were grown on the farm. Strong basil flavor followed by hints of sage makes this one great by itself or with turkey and stuffing!

Poured from a 32oz howler into a standard shaker pint glass. Pours a murky light amber with minimal off-white foam head. Lots of sage, basil, thyme, rosemary, earth and bread on the nose. Taste follows but it’s predominantly the herbs and spices which I like a lot more on the nose than I do in the taste. Medium-full mouthfeel. Not bad. Definitely unique / interesting and while I suppose they nailed the flavors and aromas of Thanksgiving it still begs the question: why did they want to in the first place.
