Downtown Alpena has really changed for the better in the 10 years since I've been here. You will find Hopside right downtown. Decent food, and a nice selection of quality beers. Gets really busy on Fri. and Sat. nights. Worthwhile stop.

Visited in the afternoon mid-week so it wasn't crowded. Brewery is located in the middle of a row of stores. Parked behind the brewery so not sure about street side parking. Round bar in the center of the brewery. Plenty of booths and tables available. Four-packs and mixed six-packs available. Staff was very friendly. Good selection; 21 beers on tap.
