Brewed with a Single Malt and Single Hop principle, with all Belgian Pale Malt and boiled for 90 minutes to add additional colour and sweetness this drinks like a sweet XPA. A massive 25 kg of Galaxy Hops from HPA was used imparting prominent passionfruit, mango and candied orange characters.

Purchased at Chas Cole Cellarbrations in Geelong in June 2025 and drunk a week later.
L: Hazy, golden amber in the glass, with a thin, bright-white head. There's lacing on the glass and small bubbles streaming up the side of the beer.
S: It's a wet hop beer, but it's pushing 2.5 months since packaging, meaning the aroma is muted. There's a nice, chewy caramel malt base, and the slightest touch of green vegetal peachiness, but none of the big Galaxy notes the beer probably held two months ago.
T: The taste is similar to the mouth, where a vegetal hop note is there, but the main flavour aspects of the beer are now driven by the malt. I'm looking for passionfruit and citrus, but they're just not there.
M: The beer's mouthfeel is full and smooth. Carbonation is low, and carbonic prickle follows suit.
O: I'm not quite sure how to treat a wet-hopped beer that's got a bit of age on it, but I lean towards the opinion that if the brewer is putting it in cans, knowing that not all will be snapped up while everything is fresh and bright, then the beer is fair game to be rated to style. As it is, this one has a lovely malt body and slight touch of hop in it, but it's not what I had hoped it would be, even going in with the expectation that I'd likely be slightly disappointed given the beer's age.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
