Consumed February 17th, 2013 at the brewery.
This beer is a clear, coppery amber. Virtually no head as brought to table. Only a few stray bubbles atop.
Aroma was all caramel malt. Where are the hops?
Flavor is almost a red/amber by flavor. Caramel at front, somewhat sweet. Significant hop flavor follows, mainly in the form of bitterness. Some light citrus as well. Juicy, melanoidin maltiness at end.
Mouthfeel is prickly.
