Jamaican Rum Barrel Aged
Conditioned on Coconut, Madagascar Vanilla, Saigon Cinnamon, & Nutmeg
We conditioned the blended, rum barrel aged, imperial stout on heaps of coconut shavings, Saigon cinnamon sticks, Madagascar vanilla, and a touch of cracked nutmeg.
Coquito stout is full bodied and smooth with bold flavors that are sure to bring you warmth and cheer this holiday season!
We get notes of toasted coconut, spiced rum, almond, toasted oak, vanilla, nutmeg, cocoa, candied dates, crème brûlée, and Puerto Rican Coquito.

Source Urban Brewery "Coquito"
$6 / 8 oz. at the brewery on 28 January 2023
Notes: A black body rests beneath a short head of tan foam. Unfortunately the head retention and lacing are limited. The aroma is bright and complex with notes of coconut, dark fruit, alcohol, cinnamon, almost burnt sugar, and cherry. The taste delivers plum, cinnamon, rum, oak, and brown sugar. It's rich and sweet but also a little hot which helps to dry the finish where cinnamon and coconut linger. In the mouth it's full bodied, creamy, and smooth. Impressive!
