Finally back here at Pajama Dave’s in Fernandina Beach and this was one of the beers on tap. Never had anything from Disco Witch before and none of their offerings were even reviewed on here, so this was an easy go!
Golden, and missing any trace of foam, this was not quite what I expected from a tap pour. Lots of grape with some floral and bready notes in the nose, the Noble Hops, spice, and slight farmhouse in the nose rounded out the taste. Lively with a bit of minerals, this was biting, plenty crisp, and quite sour in the back. Lots of bread underneath everything as this was full/bodied but bubbly enough to not feel that heavy, as there wasn’t a lot of dough or chewiness in the back. Thankfully, a hint of gooseberry lingered once this went down, as this left a slightly juicy finish on my teeth.
The amount of alcohol in this was spot-on as it would have been easy to enjoy a few in one sitting. Even though there was grape here, enough other notes were present to keep this fresh, lively, and different. Not a bad first impression by these guys!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
