On draught at the brewery. Behr identifies Bruin as a Festbier but it certainly looks more like a Märzen with a color that is rosy-brown rather than bright and golden. Its smell is malty with notes of caramel, cherry, and spice (coriander?). It drinks like a cross between a Märzen and an Irish Red Ale. It's malty and earthy with solid a distinct taste of cocoa. It's actually quite tasty - just not what I expected from a "Festbier." The mouth feel is pleasantly viscous and creamy with lite/moderate carbonation and drinks easily at 5% ABV. Overall, I don't know whether Behr intended Bruin to be a true "Festbier" or a Märzen but putting style aside it is tasty and enjoyable.
