On tap at the brewpub.
A: Pours a clear amber body with orange / honey tint in the glass. The head is a finger of cream-colored head that retains pretty well and leaves nice lacing at first. Toward the end there's a light collar.
S: Floral hops with a light banana note and honey.
T: Begins with a burst of floral hops that lead into pine flavors. I don't pick up any banana in the taste; it's way too sugary and hoppy to taste anything that delicate. Honey comes through -- I'll stress this is honey flavor, though the sweetness probably comes from something else. It's actually a bit overwhelming, and it feels underattenuated; by the end of the glass, I'm more than done with the beer. Despite the sweetness, there is a lingering floral aftertaste.
M: Viscous and full-bodied in flavor. Not too boozy, though you do pick up some warmth underneath the sugars. Overall it's on the sweet side; not any strong malt flavors, but just a general sweetness that I dislike.
D: I wouldn't have this again.
