On-tap at Blue Palms for Drakes/Triple Rock Tap Takeover
A: The beer pours a dark amber color with a thin and short lived off-white head.
S: Immediately after smelling this, I can't help but think stale popcorn with a little of the fake butter on top. There is some mild vinegar and hints of sweet malt, and some oak too. I don't really get any of the specific barrel flavors, though.
T: The popcorn character is pervasive on the palate as well. My girlfriend also said dish water, but I didn't get that. Not really sour other than some hints of vinegar. Mild vanilla and some oak notes. At least the flavor isn't buttery...
M: Medium in body with a moderate carbonation.
O: Unfortunately I can't recommend this one which is too bad since I was looking forward to trying it.
