This Czech-style dark lager looks dark but is light in body and is super crushable. This beer is brewed with Bohemian floor-malted pilsner, floor-malted Czech dark malt, and 100% Saaz hops.

Had Tmavé Pivo, which, helpfully, is apparently Czech for dark beer, at the Fertile Ground taproom on side-pull draft into seidel.
Pours nearly black but transmitting a lot of red light, with a huge creamy very light-tan head, with good retention, leaving nice lace down the glass. Aroma of mild roast malts off pour, then sweet malt, and sharp stone fruits as warms. Begins sweet malt carried on moderate carbonation for a full mouthfeel, then mild roasted malts intervene, before some nice hop bite kicks in, and fruity notes join as warms, leading into a crisp but still malty and a bit roasty finish.
My first Czech dark lager and, as best I can confirm, true to style, but more importantly, delicious, especially on side-pull pour. Good Mississippi summer choice for dark beer fans.
