This Hazy IPA packs a punch of tropical and stone fruit aroma, but ends with a nice pillowy body and silky mouthfeel.

Had Municipal Pool, a "Nouveaux IPA," according to the Fertile Ground taproom wall, at the taproom on draft into willi becher.
Pours hazy grapefruit juice with 1-finger off-white head, which quickly dissipates to a persistent film, leaving some sketchy lace at the top of the glass. A bit of mild malt aroma off the pour, then some hop spice and bigger herbal notes, before sharp stone fruits--peach? Quince? Are quince stone fruits?--enter and own the joint, with a bit of residual herb. Full carbonated mouthfeel and mild malt to start, then some sweet stone fruit and herbal notes, and bigger sharp stone fruit takes over, before a bit of resin leads into a slightly bitter finish.
The staff explain that "Nouveaux IPA" means it's a cross between New England and West Coast. That's apt. Could also call it a session hazy, except it's 7.1.
