A pleasant surprise in the land of Bintang. This is a golden ale with a golden colour and excellent citrus notes. Refreshing in the humidity of Jakarta.

It’s not Bintang…. and super stoked about that! having had decades of abstinence of drinking beers in Bali because they were all so terrible. Recent arrivals in the brewing world brought me to tossing one back on occasion. This is defiantly worth a try.

I'm a big fan of pale ale and lucky enough to live in Australia, home to some of the best craft beers in the world. I was not expecting those big hopsy, pale ale flavours from Kura Kura, especially as it's a beer brewed locally in Bali, Indonesia.
A full bodied, full flavoured, true session ale coming in at at 5% ABV, a little lighter than some but still the the real deal. If you're in Bali and you love pale ale, give it a go, you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of Kura Kura Island Ale.
