Look: It pours amber with a bit of clouding and a tan head. Head retention is good.
Smell: It strong malty aromas featuring toast and toffey. There are some citrus and orange marmaladed like notes. There are also light piney elements as well.
Taste: It has strong malty flavors with a strong citrus and orange punch. It has strong caramel flavors with some dark cherry elements. The pine is notieable in the background with alcohol which adds complexity to the overall presentation.
Feel: It has a full body, not quite on the chewy side with strong, but pleasant alcohol warming.
Overall, a well put together barleywine with plenty of malty flavors and complexity.
