For this NEIPA we started with a base of pilsner malt to keep things light, and paired that with oats & wheat to give it a great body and a soft mouthfeel. Then we set out to explore some of the subtler notes that can be found in hops.

We started with one of our favorite New Zealand hops, Nelson Sauvin, which leads the way with big white grape/vinous notes & tropical fruit. Then we added Vista for its bright stone fruit character, bringing a big pear note mid sip, followed by mild melon. A touch of citrus & a light floral/herbal character round it out.

The flavors are delicate, but worth it when you let your palate discover their nuances. Similar to the effort you put into beach combing to find some prize shells!
