Poured from a brewery tap-filled can. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a one finger khaki head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, bakers chocolate, mild coffee and Postum. Flavor is dark chocolate malt, cocoa, drip coffee and a hint of char. A slight astringency in the finish, which otherwise has a pleasant lingering mocha character. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A pleasant and solid porter with good chocolate an coffee profile. Fine flavor depth for the ABV and well balanced. Hits all the flavor points I want in a porter. Very drinkable.
