Jet black with brownish edges, no lace. Aroma is leathery and raisiny, carob and mild oxidation. Reminds me of an English imperial stout a little bit, like Harvey’s Imperial Extra Double Stout, in a good way.
Taste is mellow and pretty oxidized, little to no carb. Rich and syrupy. Fudgy with fruit and nuts, toasted almond, dried fruit. Very tasty dessert beer, though it could use a little more carb.
