A collaborative effort between Clarion River Brewing Company & Rosko’s Brew House, this German-style smoked helles is brewed with beechwood smoked malt and German noble hops. It is bready, crisp, and smoky with floral and slightly spicy notes from hops. Regnitz and Main Rivers meet in Bamberg, Germany, the capital of smoked beers (rauchbier), and the confluence of two rivers embodies the collaborative nature of this beer.

Poured into a dimple stein: color is clear straw, head is off white and presents scant quarter inch, head dissipates to nothing but some light spotty head and froth on the glass side.
Smell is light toast, biscuit, smoke, light diacetyl like note.
Taste is more blended with some pils, toast, biscuit, smoke, more diacetyl than smell; malt is light but helles like with the biscuit and pils forward flavor, smoke is more beechwood like with stronger smoke character.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, lower sweetness, light/moderate bitterness, light lingering slickness from the linger diacetyl.
Overall a very good smoked brew - notable malt, light strength which allows the smoke to shine but its not overdone, just a hint of diacetyl throughout but could be from it coming from an older crowler (dated 1.28.26).
