On tap at Belmont Station today.
The beer pours a very hazy light amber color with excellent head retention and considerable lacing. On the nose, I'm not exactly sure what to think. There's considerable tropical fruit, but it's very sweet and is almost candy like. I'm not sure how much I like what I'm smelling, but the aroma profile is undeniably very much in your face. The flavor profile replicates the nose, but the heat on the finish from the high alcohol is very noticeable. I personally find it to be pretty off putting. Mouthfeel is actually fairly light for the abv level, but the alcohol bite on the finish is hard to ignore. I'm just not digging it.
Another interesting beer from Brujos, but the brewer continues to have a difficult time hiding the high alcohol in his high octane IPAs. As a result, the beers from Brujos are difficult for some of us to appreciate. This is not a beer I would order again.
