Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber, somewhat on the light side, with a two finger white head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, dank and citrus hops, catty dankness, lemon, orange, mild mixed tropical fruit and a little pine; inviting. Flavor is caramel malt, dank and citrus hops, orange, grapefruit, catty and weed dankness, light mixed tropical fruit and nice fruit esters in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess and nice mouth feel. This one hits all my buttons. I'm a fan of caramel malt and if the description is still accurate has my a great combination of Citra and Simcoe and it does have that profile. There is also some tropical notes from Mosaic to make things interesting. I like the fruit esters in the end of the taste that stay lingering in the finish. This is a fine IPA and one I would like to see again. Oddly, although I traveled in Oregon last summer and have had several Brujos collaborations with local breweries, this is my first from their brewery. I hope they send some up our way every once in a while. I like this one.
