Golden pub ale fermented with an English yeast on medium toast oak staves for a vanilla tannin snap. Notes of marshmallow oak, chardonnay, honey, and light toast.

This one pours a nice golden orange-ish color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like honey, toasted malt, tea, and a light snap of oak.
The resting on oak staves really amps this up for me, adding a nice toasty and oaky dimension to this. There’s graham cracker, a hint of vanilla, breadiness, and a floral and tea-like bitterness.
I could definitely drink a lot of this – it’s very drinkable, and very tasty.
You don’t see many English pale mild ales, like anywhere. This is definitely an Americanization of the style but I really enjoyed it all the same.
