Our next in a single-hop series of hazy IPAs, Invasive digs into the varietal character of Nelson in three different forms. A pillowy body with a slight spice allows the pellets, cryo, and extract to add over-ripe white grape and tang on the hot side, while the cold side addition offers trichome dankness that takes over anything in its path.

Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like sun-kissed white grapes, mango, and passionfruit.
This has a wonderfully soft hop character to it, with just faintest ghostly bitterness on the back end. It’s got that classic Nelson grape thing going, with tons of citrus, like mango and orange.
This is medium bodied, creamy, but not too rich, with a great drinkability. There’s a whole bunch of flavor here for the lower ABV – it drinks flavor-wise like a Double IPA with a body of a single IPA.
I remain a big proponent of Nelson – this is a great rendition.
