From notes.

This beer comes served in a pint glass. The beer is clear, when sitting next to a glass of ice tea it looks like the ice tea. Served with no head, no lacing. The beer does have some good aromas and that are inviting. A nice hoppy aroma, floral and piney, kinda like a house hold cleaner. Notes indicate that my initial thought is that the beer is dry hopped.

The beer tastes largely one dimensional, not totally unreasonable for an IPA. Just a hint of malt, quickly drowned out by bitterness, that does not last once the beer is swallowed.

Low carbonation. I find this IPA to be a little dull and uninspired. Anyone can make a beer with a bunch of hops in it. But a skilled brewer can do that and make the beer taste good.

Clear, amber-bronze hue, a little darker than a standard IPA, served with a cream-colored head, a half finger in size, great retention. Looks great in my pint glass. Once consumption began it laced my pint glass like wallpaper, impressive. The nose is restrained cascade hoppiness with a kiss of clean maltiness. Not impressive or inviting. The palate is adequate at best; it is awfully muddled for a hoppy-style beer. The hops are not forceful, scarcely delicate with only notes of pine, smothered by a flat, caramel maltiness. It is rather clean; the finish is quick and forgetful. Any alcohol influence is absent, inappropriate for an American IPA in my opinion. I was not impressed with this IPA; it needs more flavor depth. The carbonation is low and natural which entices a calm, creamy mouthfeel, a touch thin however, and a little watery. I need not bother with this one again; it is not even a good Pale Ale. Mountain Hops is quite a disappointing IPA, especially considering its lovely appearance. Skip it.
