Blind tasted, all I know pre-tasting is that it's an Amber Lager brewed incorporating some bread: There's a thought, does bread count as an adjunct?
L- Surprisingly dark, about the same colour as an English bitter. Pours clear with a good looking 5mm creamy white foam cap. The later sustains very well and forms lacing on the way down.
S- Mild/trad grainy malt.
T- Ooh that's nice. It's like a cross between a lager and an English bitter. The hops are clear to note and trad-style (i.e. no alien lychee-apricot/grapefruit-bubblegum or whatever notes here TYVM). Sufficient malts/body come in to balance things out.
F- Carbonation in the mouth is very good. It's bright and refreshing while not leaving the palate wanting for some body.
O- It's currently 30C and this beer cold from the fridge is working very well for me. Given it's in a 330ml crafty-can I was anticipating a hipster recipe but it comes over as more trad yet something a bit different (the 'lager/bitter' combo I mention^). There remains some foam cap and with lacing right down the glass it's a good looking brew too. Also, unusually, of note is that despite being brewed incorporating bread, that really isn't at all apparent to me.
330ml can from Waitrose in Cambridge. £2 BBE: 10/22.
Review done, not to check the can for any detail of note: Brewed with Bloomer bread to a Vienna lager recipe. Brewed with 'barley and wheat malt + breadcrumbs (white)'
