Frederiksberg 28/9 2022. 40 cl from tap at Tap 21, H.C Ørstedsvej, Frb. C.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with an earthy scent. Lightly roasted dark malts, tobacco, humid soil and whiff of dark bitter chocolate.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter.. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Dark and not too sweet. One of those Brown Ale which is not afraid of being a little bitter.
