Copenhagen 6/8 2024. 44 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Drawing of a Power pyramid on the can with the King at the top, the Clergy in the middle and the armed forces at the bottom.
Pours slightly unclear mahogany with a red hue and a mid-sized off-white head. Stable Settles as fat ring of foam running along the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a strong, boozy and sugary odor mingling with a light citric scent. Brown sugar, toffee, dark bread and liqueur of the sweet variety. Dark fruits. Raisins and prunes.
Low carbonation. Rather thick, oily, stick, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish but barely covering a sugary sweetness. Lingering. Finish is kind of dry.
Sweet boozer with a light sourish streak.
