A: opaque; very dark brown in color; 1 finger finely pored, medium brown head that receded to a wispy cap; light lacing;
S; deeply roasted grain and semi-sweet chocolate, but not especially attractive;
T: deeply roasted grain with some bittersweet chocolate and a hint of vanilla in the background; moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish; hides the ABV well;
O: not much there; I've had beers whose descriptions don't mention chocolate or vanilla that had more of those aromas and flavors than this one does;
