I haven't really had much experience with schwarzbiers, so I am not sure if this is indicative of the style or not. It pours a lighter black color with a good foamy head and lacing. Poured into a 5oz flight glass for tasting. Lightly sweet, chocolate aroma. This beer is slightly hoppy with a dark malty taste and chocolate sweetness at the end. I very much enjoyed this beer. It does seem more like a light porter, though.
