Appearance: The head is small to begin with and ends up as a small ring on top of the beer pretty quickly. The beer is a slightly cloudy burnt orange or toffee color with only a few bubbles rising.
Aroma: Reserved aroma for the style. There is some mild fruit and a little bit of caramel. There is a hint of lemon coming out as it warms along with some buttery and toasty notes. There seems to be a dominating British malt quality to this beer.
Taste: The flavor is really mild. There is a little bit of dark caramel and an assertive malt profile. There is a little flavor imparted from the roast malts, but this blends pretty well. The finish is really clean with the malt in charge.
Opinion: This beer is really mild for the style..even for a mild version. I wouldn't classify this as a true Dunkel Weizen, but it is still a pretty good, clean and drinkable beer.
