The beer pours a hazy reddish-brown color with a tan head. The aroma is grassy hops with some earthy notes and some toffee. The beer smells like your traditional Irish Red. The flavor is interesting and not at all what I expected. I get a lot of ashy smoke with some caramel malt and earthy hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

A: Pours a cloudy red color. A small white head forms and leaves little lace.
S: Sweet caramel and buttery malt. A slightly grainy aroma.
T: Lightly toasted. Sweet caramel malt. A bit of grain. I like the toasted character.
M/D: Medium body and carbonation. Crisp and smooth. Easy and smooth to drink.
A decent offering. It will do the trick when St. Patty's Day comes around.
