Innovators Brewing Co.

We stopped here on a Thursday, late morning to try their beers. They weren't busy. The brewery is located at the intersection of two state highways in this small community. There is adequate parking at the sides and rear of the building. The interior décor makes me think of a country bar more than a brewpub, but it's okay. One side of the interior has a bar with sating plus some tables and chairs, and the other side is a dining room. Several TVs are in the bar area. We sat at the bar, and service was good.

There were 10 taps for beer, although three were tapped out. (Another 14 taps exist, but contained three seltzers, are are unused, etc.) We ordered a flight of 4 beer to try to get an overall evaluation of the quality. They were all okay to good, but nothing was outstanding. The Porter didn't taste at all like a Porter, but it was okay whatever it was. The oatmeal stout was murky and a bit sweet. The Vienna Lager was close to style when cold, but became cloying as it warmed. All of the beers on the menu were very close to 5.0 abv, so the brewer must have that as a goal.

Quiet, out of the way place away from the hustle and bustle of Frankenmuth. Good size location with lots of tables and a nice size bar. Interesting selection of beers. Very friendly staff.
