Pours a hazy brown-reddish color with a huge top of beige head that dissolves slowly and leaves some sticky lacings on the glass.
Aroma is raspberries, sour cherries, caramel, bread, brown sugar and spices.
The taste is sweet and slighly sour with a malty background. Strong notes of sour cherries and rasberries in the flavour allong with caramel and bready malt notes. The finish has some slight bitterness. Aftertaste has a decent lenght. The flavour is a little thin and the carbonation a little to high. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a high carbonation and a medium body.
An interesting take on a belgian dark ale. It is good and enjoyable enough, but i prefer them more traditional.

L- Pours a deep chestnut/ruby brown. Moderate sediment haze, no surprise given my ps below. Big pillowy pale tan head.
S- This is a Belgian Dark Ale but I'm surprised to detect clear cherry - I'm not much into fruit beer/krieks and really not cherry ones.
T- First the cherry hits me, then the fact it's sour cherry. Alas I'm no big fan of sour beers either. After about 100ml of this my first beer of my evening my palate begins to settle down and the cherry/sour aspects no longer seem as bluntly prominent.
F- Quite rich yet sour (as opposed to more common facets of sweet or bitter).
O- By the end of the glass I'm almost wholly tolerating it; a heck of a surprise after my reaction to the first sip. For this beer helps if you're super patient on the pour and are a fan of sour cherry.
Bought from BelgiumInABox (Antwerp/BE) for home delivery to London/UK. 330ml bottle BB: 04/10/2020.
The Description^ in the headers lists this as 7.5% ABV, the bottle in front of me states 7.8%.
Ps/Caution: Open slowly. My bottle had rested for 2weeks+. chilled in the fridge + been handled with care - but as soon as I began to prise the cap foam instantly formed and rose up the neck. If I hadn't have noticed it would have spumed.
I tied a knot of loo-roll around the neck and continued slowly prising... 5 minutes later with the paper wrap now soaked I got the cap off. On the gentle initial pour I got 1Cm of beer and 10Cm of foam and again fast. 3 minutes later the 2nd attempt yielded a lot more beer vs foam but I've had to put the bottle down again. Conclusion: Open/pour with great patience. If you do NOT like sediment in your pour you likely need to figure out how to not put the bottle down once you've begun pouring.

Reddish brown color with beige head. Aroma has quite intense cherry notes and preserve juice with brown sugar. Taste follows with cherries but not as intense. Some yeast spiciness, dark malts, astringent on the finish. Light to medium body with medium plus carbonation. It's an enjoyable beer with good drinkability for a winter beer.

Dark ruby brown color, tan head, aroma of raspberries, chocolate and prunes, medium sweetness, lightly sour, medium body, high carbonation, a very good winter beer.

An absolutely top looking brew! Plum body, topped with an immense caramel head. Retention is awesome, still getting 'beer tash' right til the last mouthful.
Aroma is pleasant, lightly spiced, plenty of fruit. Perhaps a hint of artifical sweetness.
Taste is solid, malt and plum with a rich aftertaste.
Feel is a little watery which I wasn't expecting, and a real shame. Probably the brews only downside.
Overall a great winter beer, good do with being a tad stronger and a tad fuller bodied. 4/5 every day of the week.

Hazy brown colour, off white medium head that fades quickly. Good lace.
Aroma of cherries, brown sugar, honey, some chocolate and spices.
Medium to full body, creamy effervescent texture, good carbonation. Sweet finish.
Taste of cherries, chocolate, spices, brown sugar.
Good one.

12 oz. on draft in a glass goblet at Novare Res in Portland.
Appearance: A dark, cloudy amber/red with a short cream head. Nice presentation.
Aroma: Cherries, burnt sugars, malt, brown bread.
Taste: Tart cherries lead, backed by the bready note and some sour accent. Good stuff.
Mouthfeel: Dangerously drinkable at 7.5 ABV. A sipper, but an approachable one for a beer with fairly intense flavor and noticeable booziness.
Overall: A real treat. Highly recommended for fans of punchy Belgians.

Served in a tulip from the bottle here at Cerveceria Esparte in Conil, Spain.
Appearance: Hazy Amber color with light light sediments on the body, off white head rose initallly to a notch below a finger's length.
Smell: has a light cinnamon note and touch of yeast, very light with a strong dissipation in the nostrils.
Taste: Sweet malts and bits of yeast, has touch spice notes which might be maybe an added nutmeg or cinnamon. Grapes and wine might come to mind after a few sips.
Mouth: Mwdium bodied with a semi stickiness. Feels a touch like raisin bread.
Overall: Nice little grab and might be my last beer review before I leave beautiful Spain, should've stared out with this gem first. Salud!
