Brewbury

 

Beautiful new sports bar/ brewpub. Large Freestanding building with large outdoor covered patio and massive open interior. U-shaped bar just to the left of the entrance seats at least 40 with plenty of tables and TVs about the remainder of the room. Place has been open 3 weeks and only had 4 house beers on tap, and the 2 I tried were mediocre at best. Hopefully they will figure out whatever they need to do to make better beer. Fish tacos were nice and service was friendly and efficient.

Just opened July 2022. This is a really nice set up for both indoor/outdoor dining. The outdoor option is impressive ! Huge outdoor L shaped bar. Inside there are pinball machines , pool table and lots of TVs. This is kind of a sports bar. Service was good as we sat at the outdoor bar. Bartender introduced himself and got us our food and beers without much wait. We just split a chicken gyro and fries. The gyro was ok and the fries were very good.
So here's the thing......the beer. Not good. I believe they are using the Smart Brew Fresh system which means the wort comes in a box. No boil. So, the beers are what you might expect. The pilsner was drinkable but pretty light. When my wife ordered the robust porter, I told her that I never met a robust porter I didn't love........now I have. Watery, not robust. The wit was almost tasteless except for the off flavors. Was hoping initially they just had some bugs to work out but if this is their brewing method, the bugs aren't going anywhere. So, the wine selection is decent.
