Sample on tap at Vigilant
One of the latest breweries in the state, a new addition to my RI brewery journey. Just as I was close to finishing, this one popped up. I’m happy to have yet another brewery in Bristol, my college town. Let’s see what this one is all about
Pours a mostly clear deep brown with a thin beige cap that fades to a thin ring and leaves minimal lacing
Oh man, this is just straight up coffee in the nose, really one-note and boring. I’m picking up on aromas of acrid coffee, dark toast, herbal hops, and light milk chocolate
The coffee from the nose just gets watered down in taste but it’s still the dominant flavor. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting drip coffee, light dark bread, and literal water. The swallow brings notes of acrid coffee, herbal hops, and bready malt
A light body pairs with minimal carbonation, resulting in a thin and watery beer. Finishes truly neutral but is not drinkable
I got this as part of a flight. It’s the best one in the flight and its still abysmal. I feel bad for leaving this bad of a review, but this place needs to get their shit together

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
