Had this for second time on-tap at C'est What Spring Festival and it was much better. Light yellow, white head, lacy. Hoppy tongue tingler.Yet still decent mouthfeel, and lemony flavour. Not too much flavour, but drinkable nonetheless. More flavour than first time had it at Volo Cask Fest 2008.

A one off brew for the C'est What Spring Festival. Its always nice to see a beer from King, and their pilsner is their best brew, so my expectations are high or this one. Bizarrely, its listed as being 0.2% ABV lower than the filtered version.
Pours a hazy (go figure, its unfiltered)gold with a huge head that shows good retention and lace. Unlike the regular pils, this unfiltered version has more of a full on grassy and spicy nose, with the malt very much in the background. They also dominate the flavour more, as you would expect, but there's still a decent soft malty body in there. Lots of saaz bitterness... its good. Body and carbonation is pretty damn fine - medium with a soft mouthfeel.
So what's next... King Unfiltered Pilsbock?
