Bespoke Brewing "LHC Midnight Black"
$7/pint on tap at the brewery on 11 August 2022
Look: A very dark brown-black body rests beneath a short head of tan foam. Very good head retention and lacing.
Smell: Dark malts with hints of chocolate and a soft roastiness.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma. A firm bitterness balances it and leads to a dry finish with some earthiness but this is supposed to be a black IPA and I'm just not finding enough hops to support that label.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: A decent dark beer with some character but not exactly a black IPA.
