Concord Brewery "Rapscallion Honey Ale"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating

Notes via stream of consciousness: So what have we got here? It's a light beer brewed with wildflower honey and Cascade hops. It's poured a slightly hazy golden body beneath a short head of bright white foam. All I'm finding in the nose is some grainy malt. The taste offers some honey though, and it lingers for a little bit in the finish. The malt remains quite grainy, and I'm not getting much in the way of yeasty fruitiness beyond some minor apple. That's probably a good thing as you don't want to interfere with the honey. The Cascade hops are minimal as well, perhaps for the same reason. There's a lot of flavor to it for a beer of 4.5% ABV. A moderate to median bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and gently crisp. The head retention and lacing could certainly have been better but overall I'd call this a solid, easy drinking, but also satisfying beer.

Pale yellow in color. Somewhat hazy in appearance. Simple grain malt with a touch of bittering hops. Super clean and very refreshing. I think I drank my beer in 4 gulps.

On tap at Kretschmann Brewing Company.

Pours a pale yellow, foamy white head that left a ring of lacing on the glass.

Has little to no aroma to speak of, minor malts, no honey.

Very lightly sweet, a lightly toasted malt flavor gives way to a medicinal hop bite. No taste of honey whatsoever, which is disappointing for a beer with honey as the selling point.

Light bodied, a little chewy with the residue it leaves behind which carries the bitter through the finish.

Subtle and straight forward, but I would prefer a large portion of other sessions that just have a generally more pleasing flavor.
