Appearance - Severe was somewhat cloudy in its yellow color. A white head crowned the glass.
Smell - The sweetness of honey and citrus fruits came through in the nose. It was obvious that this was an IPA that leaned towards the New England style.
Taste - The sweetness of the honey came through immediately. The citra hops brought along light citrus fruit notes. It was not overdone with loads of sediment and peppery notes. It was reasonably clean for the style. A mild sweet orange flavor carried through to the finish.
Mouthfeel - The body was not overly thick, which I appreciated. It still had enough body to allow the profile to linger.
Overall - This beer seemed like a milder version of Hopslam because of the apparent honey and citrus notes.
