Appearance - The beer poured an oily black color with much of the carbonation smothered. Some bubbles escaped to cling to the sides of the glass.
Smell - The sweetness in the nose was like burnt sugar. It was quite potent.
Taste - The profile was like caramel topped, fresh baked cookies. The caramel was gooey and fresh in its impression. I believe this was supposed to be the cream of the cookies, but I got caramel. There was a strong baker’s chocolate presence. It was almost brownie-like. The dessert profile lingered.
Mouthfeel - The body was thick, coating the mouth and lingering.
Overall - Gnosis does amazing stouts.
