Appearance - The beer was cherry red with visible carbonation and a generous white head from the tap pour.
Smell - The fruit presence was strong in the nose, with cranberry setting the tone.
Taste - Wow! At the front, the beer is cranberry forward. It was tart, but not overpowering. After the initial taste, the chai spice was very evident. The vanilla notes at the finish complimented the cranberry nicely. The wheat notes of the wheat beer were largely absent, but I did not mind.
Mouthfeel - The viscosity allowed the profile to linger nicely. Despite the high abv, it went down, smooth.
Mouthfeel - Some have described it as Thanksgiving in a glass. I would say that it gives a nice tip of the hat to New Glarus fruit beers.
