Appearance - From the bottle, the beer was slick black in appearance with little noted carbonation.
Smell - The nose was very vanilla forward. It was definitely on the sweet side, but not overbearing.
Taste - My first impression was that this is like drinking barrel aged melted vanilla ice cream. The vanilla was smooth, not cloying or overbearing. Only at the finish did the barrel start to emit bourbon goodness. The vanilla really shine in this one.
Mouthfeel - The body was smooth, and almost fluffy.
Overall - this beer was something to behold!
