Their West Coast IPA is impressive, really looking forward to this.
Lots of different barley types and lots of different hops. Underwood obviously have passion for what they do and know lots. Can looks kind of cool and feels amazing.
Luminous mega perfect colour. Ok head. Aromas of oceans, ascending consciousness...tropical fruits ascending.
Wow. It's an intense flavour. A little tropical but mostly pine coney. It lacks the life of an American West Coast IPA and remiinds me of dead pine cones a little too much. Pine cones, passion fruit and orange dominate the flavour. Feel is quite thin and not much coming through in the aftertaste.
For me the malt and pine coney flavour are a little too heavy. I notice this often in Ukrainian IPA's. Still, this has a crispness and quality that is rare in Ukraine. I still prefer their American IPA and their Helles. This needs more tropical fruits and less pine cones. Like seriously, who eats pine cones? Do squirrels? Do birds? I think no. Humans definitely do not. So why make a potentially amazing beer taste like pine cones?
Almost great, but it isn't. But great compared with Opilia and Obolon.
